We are committed to providing our employees with on-going personal development and extensive training. Our carers work with different clients in order to gain experience and confidence providing specialised care for different individuals.

New employees are fully supported and are provided with a thorough induction and training process which informs them of our companies policies and procedures. We never let any of our staff start work independently until they are qualified and confident to do so; they are introduced to clients and given the opportunity to shadow other carers in order to learn a client’s daily routine.

All of our employees are fully trained and competent in providing health and social care. This includes moving and handling; use of equipment; safeguarding and protection of vulnerable adults; personal care and dignity in care; infection control; nutrition and food hygiene; medication awareness and assistance. We provide our carers with regular supervision and conduct regular observations to identify any training needs and ensure that their work is of the highest standard. Our carers are either qualified or working towards the QCF health and social care qualification.

Our full training course is completed by our carers annually and as and when required to update their knowledge and skills.

Your Care Services offer opportunities for career development and or our employees to grow from within. There are opportunities for our carers to move up into senior positions such as a team leader, senior support worker or even a trainee care coordinator. Once working within the office team, our employees are offered opportunities to work in different departments to gain knowledge and experience in all areas of care provision.

During supervisions, any employee who expresses an interest in progressing in their career will be supported to do so with targets to reach so that they have a fair chance in applying for any positions open.
