We believe that maintaining outstanding practices and excellent standards of care ensures the well being, safety, dignity, confidentiality and interests of each and every single service user.

Your Care Services has its own in-house quality assurance team which conducts regular audits, spot checks and observations to ensure only the highest quality service. In short, people who rely on us can do so with total confidence. Our quality assurance policy is designed to provide continuous measurement of our success in meeting standards whilst regularly monitoring and recognising opportunities for developing and improving our systems in the delivery of domiciliary care. Areas of proven good practice are expanded upon and areas of improvement are acted upon. Written policies and procedures are in place to ensure that service delivery meets the national minimum standards and all legal requirements.

REGULAR CONTACT AND REVIEW

Our success stems from our transparency, availability and flexibility. We are always available to support our clients and their families, and we encourage them to stay in regular contact with us so that we can tailor and modify plans and routines to their changing needs and wishes, and address any concerns that they may have as quickly as possible. Our management team and care coordinators maintain regular contact with clients through courtesy calls and arranged visits. We keep accurate records of quality checks to ensure that the service delivered meets the unique requirements of every individual client. Our annual surveys allow our clients and employees to have their say on the quality of care we provide. The results of which are available upon request. However, Your Care Services have an open door policy where we encourage you to communicate any concerns or praise.

Our Carers

Through a rigorous internal recruitment process we ensure that each of our employees is passionate about care and understands and implements our care philosophy.

We believe that working in care is much more than just a job; therefore we only employ people who are reliable, empathetic, sensitive and trustworthy.

Our recruitment processes involve thorough reference checks. All of our employees will have a current and up to date Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) check. This involves a strict identification process and checks whether an individual has any spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as checking the adult barred list through the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).

Our carers are briefed extensively on the needs and wishes of the person they are allocated to care for. This is based on the support plan agreed with our client.

Our ability to maintain such high care standards is also due to regular supervision, monitoring and appraisal of our employees; this allows us to ensure that we are consistently providing the highest possible standards of support to our carers, and subsequently our service users. If any of our service users are ever unhappy with a carer, we have protocols in place that allow us to deal with such issues swiftly and professionally.

At Your Care Services all of our employees, including office staff and management, will take on our carers roles to provide direct support and care to our clients. This way, we directly learn our clients routines, we know what to expect of our carers and we can identify areas to further support our clients. This also means that our clients will not be without the care quality they need; in emergency situations our management team can step in confidently and provide a consistency in the care we provide.

Training

All of our employees are fully trained and competent in providing health and social care. This includes moving and handling; use of equipment; safeguarding and protection of vulnerable adults; personal care and dignity in care; infection control; nutrition and food hygiene; medication awareness and assistance. Our full training course is completed by our carers annually and as and when required to update their knowledge and skills.

We provide our carers with regular supervision and conduct regular observations to identify any training needs and ensure that their work is of the highest standard. Our carers are either qualified or working towards the QCF health and social care qualification.

We offer our training and support resources to the families of our service users so that they can also be involved in caring for their loved one.
